Mental Health Community……….by Susan

I've been a member of an online Mental Health community for a number of years now.   It was a huge help to me a few years ago when I was going through a very difficult time of depression and anxiety.  I still visit the site, especially if I am having a problem of some kind and just want to talk about it.   The forums are a great place to get feedback from others who understand about depression, anxiety, relationships and family problems.

You can find this community at Psych Central.  The site features a full social network including free blogs for members, lots of mental health resources, chat rooms and mental health quizzes.   There are about 8300 members.   There are forums for a large variety of topics from depression to bipolar to classifieds and games.   If you think you would enjoy being a member of a network that includes others who feel a lot like you do, then you might like to visit Psych Central.

Psych Central has another forum for those who suffer from neurological disorders and chronic diseases.  It is called Neurotalk.    Both sites are run by Dr. John Grohol and feature a number of administrators and moderators who help to keep things safe for all members.   At one time I was a moderator at Psych Central and can attest to the efforts taken to make the sites safe and helpful to their members.
